Wow...FIRST I post a blog asking to be scouted, THEN I read this. Well I certainly feel like an ass-hat. Regardless, this guide is INCREDIBLY helpful. And thorough! Well done sir. I had to go back and get rid of some..."sub-par" submissions, but it's the motivation I need to produce some decent work. Thanks a buttload!

You have to be scouted in order to see it.
just wanted to say thank you so much for compiling this FAQ. I'm more or less a lurker on NG, just checking stuff out and looking around, but I seem to run into people asking questions about scouting more than anything else. Now I know where to direct them to get the answers. Also, it helps me out if I ever decide to post art.

This is so helpful! I didn't know ANYTHING about scouting before I read this. I just kept seeing "this artist has not been scouted yet" So I googled it and ended up here. Wonderful advice.

Because you keep stealing art from other users. And the art that might be yours is pretty crap.
Thank you very much for posting this and having it available. I did not realize that there was a separate area where scouted artists could view unscouted artists' pieces; I was wondering how I was supposed to get anyone to view my work if it's only being posted to my own page. :)

But now that you know it you should feel smarter.
I have been unscouted numerous times, and now, I can't even submit art to my own gallery! How many pieces may I have in my gallery while unscouted? Perhaps you should answer that question!
If you are unscouted you can only have 20 pieces in your gallery. Delete the old bad stuff and replace it with new good stuff, as stated in Step 4.
